The Plot

  • The first story revolves around a married couple, Karan and Anjali, who get stuck in the middle of a forest. Karan tries to scare Anjali by playing pranks, but soon they encounter a mysterious entity that mimics their voices and actions.

The Reception




Darna Mana Hai was released on 25 July 2003 and received mostly negative reviews from critics. The film was criticized for its weak script, poor acting, and lack of scares. The Sequel




In 2006, Ram Gopal Varma produced a sequel to Darna Mana Hai titled Darna Zaroori Hai. Only Rajpal Yadav and director Prawaal Raman were back from the previous installment. The sequel followed a similar format of interweaving stories told by people stranded in a cinema hall during a power outage. However, the sequel received even worse reviews than the original and failed to impress the audience.
